FGTC Executive Director
Thomas has worked for both private and public emergency service agencies providing healthcare interventions with clients in urgent care situations. He has held management positions for over twenty years and possesses a B.S. in Health Studies
His professional background includes emergency services, operations, service delivery, education and training, quality assurance, personal, human resources, and product procurement. His extended background with emergency medicine and fire/rescue emergencies provides Thomas with the experience and insight needed to manage a full-service training center.
He is the recipient of three Phoenix Awards and possesses over seventy-five credentials from over thirty local, state and federal agencies. Thomas was appointed to the Business Advisory Council in Washington D.C. in 2005, awarded the Congressional Medal of Distinction in 2006, and selected as the Honorary Chairman of the House Majority Trust.
Director of Operations
Jordan was born in Carrollton, Georgia. She graduated from Newnan High School and attended Jacksonville State University her first year in college. She is currently working on her Business Administration degree at the West Georgia Technical College. She joined the FGTC team in 2012.
As the Campus Director, Jordan monitors and maintains all aspects of campus operations. She consistently works in accordance with the mission, core values and purposes of the school. She develops and monitors both short-term and long-term strategic plans for the campus while working with the education department to oversee the Recovery and Retention Program. Jordan aids in guiding and monitoring all aspects of academics to ensure that quality educational opportunities are provided to students.
Jordan routinely oversees graduate placement efforts to ensure that students / graduates are obtaining positions related to their career objectives and field of study. With her “hands on” approach, she provides on-site campus management with direction and professional development designed to increase management effectiveness, reduce turnover and decrease liabilities. With her experience, Jordan excels at monitoring all departmental activities to ensure personnel are operating within and following the policies and procedures of the school, while guiding the overall admissions efforts to assure achievement of enrollment goals.
Jordan reports to the Executive Board and to the West Georgia Regional Emergency Education Coalition on a quarterly basis. She works side by side with the Dean of Education, FGTC admissions assistants, the business and financial departments, and other supervisory and support staff as necessary. Jordan’s ultimate goal is creating a student experience that you can’t get anywhere else.
Clinical Coordinator
Katrina resides in Carroll County with her husband of 5 years and her 17-year-old son that attends Central High School. She is a native of Carroll County and graduated from Mt. Zion High School.
Katrina has over 10 years of service in the field of EMS and over 7 years of experience working with Faithful Guardian Training Center. She is a former student of Faithful Guardian, completing both EMT and Paramedic programs. After working for both rural and urban emergency transport agencies, she decided to assist future EMS students on a full-time basis with Faithful Guardian.
Katrina is a part of the FGTC Externship Team and oversees all administrative projects as acting Project Manager, among multiple other daily duties.
Human Resources/ AHA CTC Coordinator
Nikie was born in Douglasville, GA where she attended Alexander High School. Upon graduating High School, she worked at Wellstar Douglas Hospital ER prior to taking the position as American Heart Association Training Center Coordinator at Faithful Guardian in April 2009. Her current position entails both hands-on instruction as well as Training Center/ Instructor management.
Nikie is responsible for a growing instructor base that is reaching a 12 county area. Her goals in this position are: making CPR training available to the community as well as to Emergency Service and Public Safety Personnel and to provide the most up to date and accurate information to the Instructors and other community groups.
Nikie’s future goals are focused on updating current course content, as well as planning ahead for future Training Sites as well as maintain a growing community knowledge-based CPR program.
FGTC Medical Director
Dr. Mitchell has been working as the emergency department physician at Tanner Medical Center since August of 1985. He attended the University of Mississippi School of Medicine where he received his Doctor of Medicine Degree and his undergraduate at Mississippi State University. He completed his postgraduate Emergency Medicine Residency at the University of Oklahoma Health and Science Center and did his internship at Methodist Hospitals of Memphis. He holds medical licenses in the state of Georgia as well as Mississippi.
Dr. Mitchell has been awarded the Distinguished Engineering Fellow by Mississippi State University in 1992. Dr. Mitchell has been the medical director for many facilities such as Faithful Guardian Training Center, West Georgia Ambulance, Carrollton Fire Department, Carroll County Fire Rescue, South Wire EMS, Carroll County E-911, West Georgia Technical Institute and Chattahoochee Technical Institute.
Jesse Robert Mitchell was born on October 25, 1954. He was married to Mary Ewing Mitchell on June 4, 1985. Mary was a flight nurse for fifteen years for Mediflight of Oklahoma and Georgia Baptist Life Fight. They have three children. Blake, age 21, senior at University of Georgia, a set of 17-year-old twins, Jillian and Ian, that attend Alexander High School and Heirway Christian Academy. His hobbies include riding his motorcycle, collecting antique maps of the world, reading history and southern literature.
Director of Aviation
Like many others, Lyndon received the "aviation 'itch" at a very young age. As a young child, He would stare out the window pointing at the airplanes passing by in awe and dared to one day be in command.
His career in aviation started at age 19 after migrating to U.S. from Linden Guyana. He attended Florida Institute of Technology where he excelled and gathered many achievements including a Masters in Applied Aviation Safety. He is now an Airline and ATP rated Pilot with extensive hours instructing in Multi Engine and Single engine aircraft.
As Director of Aviation, Lyndon promises to use his vast training and knowledge to provide safe and effective instruction in a positive learning environment. Under his Motto "Safety is Priority."
